The aureolin sun gave off an amber glow, giving the sky the colour of amaranth. Embracing an islet, the cobalt blue sea seemed to stretch all the way to the horizon. Denim clouds loafed around dreamily, enjoying the ambience.

Essential Questions

I believe that it is necessary to understand the historical and cultural context of the novel as if we do not understand the background of the story, it becomes harder for us to understand the novel itself. The reader will be forced to find out about the story from other sources as they would not understand a lot of parts (about racism).

Prejudice

Know: I know that prejudice means some form of bias. I have read about prejudice happening in the past such as the whites being unfair to the blacks.
