Recent STOMP Article: Even students from elite school can't follow no-eating rule on bus

Regarding this incident, I have certain views and would like to share them.
First, I feel that as a fellow Hwa Chong student, the boys in the photo should not have brought their ice-creams onto the bus. They should have instead either finished consuming them and wait for the next bus or thrown away their ice-creams. The former is a better choice as they only sacrifice a small amount of time, around 5 minutes, and they still get to enjoy their ice-creams. The latter should only be done if they are running late for an appointment as they waste the ice-creams that they paid for. I feel that this incident is completely unnecessary and should not have happened.
Next, I would also like to point out how the STomper MMRN, the one who uploaded the pictures and the description, highlighted students from "elite schools". From this, I can see how the public has higher expectations of "elite school" students. This is a wrong misconception. I believe that the STomper should not have included "from elite school" in his/her title.
Lastly, I would like to raise the point about how the STomper MMRN only took a photo and waited to get home before publishing it on STomp. I feel that if he really cared about people bringing food onto the bus, he would have stopped the Hwa Chong boys there and then. By not stopping them and instead choosing to post it on STomp, I feel that the STomper has a grudge against elite school students and was looking for a way to express it. I feel that this is wrong as Singaporeans should be nice to each other. As the Hwa Chong motto goes, we should aim for a win-win, not a lose-lose.

I have to agree with what you say. Honestly the public places such a burden rather than respect for the elite school students. If it was any other ordinary school student, they would not even bother looking. In fact my theory is that these people are just here to try and bring the elite students down. If they really wanted to help, like you said, they would just walk up and say "hey, stop that!".
